Karthik Iyer

Hey there! My name is Karthik, and I'm a machine learning engineer working to understand how models work to ensure that they can be used safely and securely.

Currently, I am a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, working within Prisma AIRS and building AI/ML security solutions. Previously, I worked as a Software Engineer at AWS, within AWS Insights and Optimizations improving processes for purchase orders and invoices for AWS Marketplace accounts. While in college, I interned at AWS, working within AWS Identity and Access Management, helping enterprise customers implement least-privilege access controls, and at Capital One supporting security governance and compliance initiatives in the Cybersecurity organization.

I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2024, concentrating in AI and HCI and my Master of Science in Computer Science in 2025, concentrating in Machine Learning.

Outside of work, I love to travel, explore new coffee shops, and watch sitcoms.
